The 2025 Formula 1 season is about to begin with several significant changes on the grid. One of them is the departure of 'Checo' Pérez from Red Bull at the end of the 2024 season. Despite speculation about his performance in the team, Adrian Newey, former engineer of the Austrian team, stated that the problems did not stem from the drivers but from the car. After losing the Constructors' Championship to McLaren, Red Bull faces an even greater challenge with Max Verstappen and Liam Lawson as the replacement for 'Checo' Pérez.
In an interview with Auto Motor und Sport, Adrian Newey pointed out that the failures in the RB20 were the team's total responsibility. Regarding the performance of the single-seater, Newey mentioned that it was becoming harder to drive, which affected both 'Checo' Pérez and Max Verstappen, although the latter was able to adapt better to the problematic conditions of the car.
At the beginning of 2024, Adrian Newey began to notice the deficiencies of the RB20 compared to the cars of McLaren and Ferrari, which showed superior performance. Despite his warnings, Red Bull did not take appropriate measures, resulting in problems for both the drivers and the team in general.
The 2025 Formula 1 season will kick off on March 14 with the Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park Circuit. This year, 24 races will take place, including 6 sprint races, promising excitement at every circuit. The 2025 Mexican Grand Prix will be held from October 24 to 26 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.
